The End Of The Journey

The end has come. And it is time that we part ways so that you can futher your career as a teacher and further my education as a student. It was a blessing being apart of a spectacular class upon which I've learned many different English strategies as well as life long skills. This person placed in my life was a Fashion police a diva, a GREAT Teacher but we have reached the end of our journey. Have you ever had a person so dedicatated and an extraordinarily passionate person. We have shared so many moments, so many disagreements, tears, and now they will be placed in my repertoire were all the imporant people, strategies, and favorite memories are placed. The End of the Journey, a place were no one would like to experience but it is an experience of a life time. I never understood why a journey like this would end, i hate the adage " all good things must come to an end." A special teacher, a special class and an unbreakable bond, we are a Family. Good and Bad, Right Or Wrong, Thick and Thin, we survived the journey Together. The End Of The Journey has come but with a much brighter Journey awaiting. This AP English III class has blessed me to become a better writer and an intellegent individual. The End Of Our Journey Has Arrived.

Entertainment Television

Lets talk about "Television." When I watch TV it seems as though I have become accustomed to watching all of the drama, fights and, gossiping that spiral around from channel to channel . And nine times out of ten it is a person of the African American race that is entertaining us (African Americans) world wide. Every now and then I see a decent television show were there is a African American not entertaining me as an idiot, a person always invaded by the law or fighting. Usually when a movie is made or a show there is usually a black or black individuals arguing or into a fight and made a fool of . The black have personified by many shows and movies. Offended, I present myself more of a well manner individual that doesn't have to settle disputes in deadly fighting or having to find a gun and end a persons life in the blink of an eye.

As time progresses, the generations furthers die out and dry up like water in 101 degree weather in the summer time. Children go home to Youtube and their cable and they see how people act outrageous and think that if they do it that Ohh Nothing Will Happen To Me I'm A THUG, A G, ETC... The generation is losing respect for adults because they see that the people on tv can do it they can also. Not only do they not respect their elders they don't respect their selves or their peers. For instance, many comedians refer to woman by B****es, so disrespectful, and also like Basketball Wives they call each other B****es like its the most popular named to be called other than the name that their parents gave them. What Television doesn't understand is that what they portray in tv is what children do for their everyday lives and majority speak such crass( I learned this from the famous MS.DAY) language better than the people who presented it to them. Yes, television is okay to watch and learn from and figure out subliminal messages but now the only thing we look forward to is  the foolishness and crass language to get entertainment from to tell the story to the next person.

When we watch TV we just see whats on TV. Not ever person on that TV screen is who they are portrayed to be , many are payed to act the way they act. And as for anime, its fake ! have you ever know a child that actually had thoughts of killing his own mother ( Stewie Griffin Family Guy). The things that is being played on TV Is like poison to the mind and participating in event that are way to old for the younger children. Parents have allowed their children to watch these shows and if they are forbidden to watch it they will find a way to get to it. "Entertainment Television has taughtand shown alot of negative aspects of life ; from making puns of the black and white, sex on television , and more.

Not all of Tv is negative, there are positive things that are played. A lot of education programs, workout shows, and lifestyle improvements and more that can benefit you and the people around you. But this generation just watches the programs that people are fighting, starting drama, gossiping, getting arrested, or throwing a bottle and repping their cities.

Facebook And Twitter : A Social Disease.

Facebook and Twitter are today's most famous social networks. And as we all know , there are pros and major cons about these social networks. These cites can work proactively in the event that we, the network users use them the correct and in a positive way.
Facebook and Twitter are very resource , keeping up with friends and family, exploring the world of the social network is fun ! But, as a teen in the present generation, you have to be very careful of things you say and do on these cites. Yes, we all play different roles in front of a different crowd even though sometimes we are able to keep our virtue, but we have to be cautious of what we present like exposure, revealing body parts, and bad language. These thing could effect you for the rest of your life espically if you want a job. Now a days, the jobs are doing even more spying on and an employee to see if they are who they are in person. And even though your life outside of the job has nothing to do with the company, it is just another procedure to be sure of the person that they are hiring.
Furthermore, why degrade yourself on a social network. People remember what you have did or what you have done, no doubt about it. And the easiest gender to become destroyed, reputation wise, is a young lady. Boys can get away with a lot of things they do on the internet but
if a girl does it they are bound for a bad rep. There is nothing wrong with having one but respect has to shown, not for the public but for yourself.
However, many altercations have spiraled over the course of social networks. A lot of drama that has lead to fights and even deaths has occurred through the social network and the audience that entertains them. This is also not a good look only because not just a job but people period would first judge you by what you have done and what they have seen you do. Just remember first impressions mean everything and be aware of what you tweet or post !

Moments For Life

Just recently, 24 days ago, after the dreadful news I received, at the blink of an eye I fully realized how precious life is. Without you here its like life with no sound or sound with no life. We wake, we lay, we laugh, we play, and lastly we pray, frequently. But at this moment I never knew it was your time. The Lord only knowing of your drifting from this frozen covered planet we call "Earth."
Reminiscing all the beautiful and fun-filled days we shared in and outside of school. Or when we held hands in the hallway. Or what about the times in Mr. Marshall class when we listened to Tyga Dancin 4 Dollas. Or that You, Angelique, and I never went a day without hearing that uniquely, God given, laugh that was giving to you. A laugh as if you were gasping for air. Or all the hard work you put in to your work. Even though you were not an all A student you worked hard and did the BEST you possibly could and signified motivation. That was a moment for life.
Remember the days you went all across the world to find away to get to my house to pick up Ms. Day's book to do your assignments. Remember when I use to say "I'm so hungry" then you pull out a bag a chips and say "Here Mane", I laugh and you did too. Remember I told you " Derica  i told my moms that you know how to do hair and she asked how much you would charge to do it" you say it depends on what she wants. And then every other day " When you want me to come" I say " I don't know" you say "YOU PLAYING", I laugh. Moment for life.
Your heart was an exemplification of an true angel that God embedded in your soul when he sent you to this Earth. You walked the extra mile for people when no one else would. You were that friend that everyone needed when you needed to talk, laugh, dance, make noise, aggravate, and most of all , a person you could lean on, like John, chosen one. Your motivation impacted us all. And a motivation that great could never be mimicked. You may have had the worst days but you came in those double doors with a glaring smile that was filled with humbleness. Beef was never a word in your vocab but LOVE was and you showed it. You always showed the real you and nothing more nothing less, accept me or reject me. That was a moment for life.
Lets talk about track. You LOVED That sport. That was your true PASSION of life. You had drive as well as mental and physical determination. You would run a billion times around that gym, blood sweat and possibly tears. I doubt tears because you only showed us the strong. You never showed us a moment when you were down or crying. I wish i could have because I would have been right there for you just like you were here for me. Moments for life.
On December 25, i get the call explaining your death, all the tears that weep the world, all the fractured hearts torn into pieces. The next day your face, your name , appears on the television. Its not for an award or for best humanitarian or for your 1st place winnings in all of your track runs but for us to be informed that you have been shoot, killed and never coming back to us. Three cowards, who have been convicted, live to see another day but yet unfortunately, we , left here for an ever lasting mourning, an heartache, and more tears to shed. Devastating moment for life.
Now you fly with the stars in the skies, retired with the holy crown. You were not lucky, you were blessed. Greatness your were on the brink of,despite the deprivation from others, which did not phase you. And everything you did has been syndicated. Now, one with the sunset -- you have become alive. Everybody dies but not every lives. You live. Everlasting Moment In My Life.
